Tuesday's Tip for New Mamas: Dogs!

Unfortunately, we do not have any pets right now, but we would LOVE to get a new puppy eventually.  We have our hands full with Baby W, but seeing him interact with dogs makes me want to get one even more!  I'm sure we will get one sometime, but since I just stopped working, and my mister's a minister...it may take a little saving.

The tip is that a dog would be a great friend for a little one.  That is a kid-friendly dog of course!

Do you have pets around the house for your kids?

Yes. We have a dog. He is such a big part of our family and we all love him to pieces. He's a little dog with a big personality. They really are great friends.

In addition, they teach us so much about unconditional love and appreciating the "little things." You won't find anything more loyal to you on the planet. The saying, "He follows you around like a puppy," is very true. If I take a bath, he's right there by my side. Go to the mailbox, he'll act like I've been gone for a month. It's so special.

When you are ready, a dog will make a wonderful addition to your family.

We don't have any pets. We had a golden retriever before GG, but now I've got my hands full just keeping up with her! I can't imagine adding a puppy to the mix! You are much braver than me, girl! I'm sure Baby W would be a great puppy owner!

You might want to think about getting a dog that is already at least a year old so maybe you won't have to deal with all of the puppy "chewing" on everything and potty training!! We thought we were past all of that before having Riley. However, since Garnet's surgery she has a lot of accidents and that is tough with a toddler around! But it is all worth it for sure and that bond is so special to see.
