Elle-10 months old... and an announcement!

Elle is really on the move.  She crawls very fast, and pulls up on things and walks along them.

She loves to look at books.

She is very curious and excitable!  She loves to see new things.

She is trying to talk a lot!  She babbles all the time and really acts like she is talking.

She tries to say “thank you.”  She says, “Nah, nah” for night night.  “Bah, bah” for bye bye. She waves hello and good-bye.  She says, “Hey!” She still says Mama and Dada.  But she will babble lots of other things as well!

She is still a great sleeper and very happy.  We think she’s going through a growth spurt because her naps have been extra long the past few days.

She absolutely loves to be outside, but gets a little jumpy around loud noises, but calms down after she is used to them.

She loves to demolish her brother’s train table.

She loves to take baths, and Daddy always gives them to her.  When she hears the water running, she crawls as fast as she can to the tub and starts screaming, “Ahh! Ahh!” until Daddy puts her in.  She splashes and plays, and makes all kinds of fun noises while she’s in the tub.   When she gets out, she continues to kick her legs until she is safe in my arms.  She would never get out if she didn’t have to!

This is her face when I take away the bear!

I cannot believe she is 10 months old!! Time truly flies!

My little announcement is that we are excitedly expecting our third child!  We are due March 18th!  We are not finding out the gender this go round, because we already have one of each and this will be our last child!  We are so thankful for a healthy pregnancy, and after a rough many weeks during the first trimester, I am feeling much better.  I am 15 weeks as of yesterday! (But I'm really posting this late, so I'm now 17 weeks pregnant today!)

Winston's 3rd birthday party!

This year, Winston was very excited about his birthday party, and he chose to have a train theme!  We have a Railroad Museum and Historical Society that does parties, and we decided to use them for his 3rd birthday!  It was outside at an old train.  They provided the balloons and decorations, two crafts for the kids, and a tour of the train.  It was a great day, and we had lots of fun!

Winston is 3 years old!

Winston is now three years old! He looks so big, and I can't believe how grown up he is.  It is amazing to watch your child grow, and to notice the ways in which he reminds you of yourself, your spouse, or your parents or in-laws.  He is such a mixture of everyone.  He has so many mannerisms that remind us of my dad, especially when he's dancing, acting goofy, or thinking hard about something.  He has his father's and Papa's body and most of their characteristics.  He has my dad's blue eyes.  He has some of my "pet peeves."  He doesn't like for water to touch him when it's unexpected, and he doesn't like for anyone to be standing or leaning right behind him or over his shoulder.  He is such a wonderful, outgoing, blessing of a child, and we love him so much.  We thank God for the 3 years he has blessed us with so far, and can't wait to see what the next years bring!

W has been learning “Mary had a little lamb” at school.
Every so often instead of singing, “Mary had a little lamb” he’ll sing, “Hairy hairy little lamb.” It is hilarious!

He loves to say “How ya doing?” to everyone.  He answers, “I’m good.” whenever anyone asks him how he is.

He tells people, “I’m two. I’m about to turn three.”

He knows his birthday, “September 19!”

He knows the city he lives in Greenwood, and that GiGi and Granddaddy live in Charlotte.

He speaks and sings very well.

He still loves books.  Right now, his favorites are “Good Night, Good Night, Construction Site,” “I wish that I had Duck Feet,” and still “The Polar Express.”

Here are a few pics from the day he turned 3!

We took cupcakes to his class at school. Our weird son only licked a tiny bit of icing and was done.  He did help make them the night before though and was very excited about them!
