Winston is now three years old! He looks so big, and I can't believe how grown up he is. It is amazing to watch your child grow, and to notice the ways in which he reminds you of yourself, your spouse, or your parents or in-laws. He is such a mixture of everyone. He has so many mannerisms that remind us of my dad, especially when he's dancing, acting goofy, or thinking hard about something. He has his father's and Papa's body and most of their characteristics. He has my dad's blue eyes. He has some of my "pet peeves." He doesn't like for water to touch him when it's unexpected, and he doesn't like for anyone to be standing or leaning right behind him or over his shoulder. He is such a wonderful, outgoing, blessing of a child, and we love him so much. We thank God for the 3 years he has blessed us with so far, and can't wait to see what the next years bring!
W has been learning “Mary had a little lamb” at school.
Every so often instead of singing, “Mary had a little lamb”
he’ll sing, “Hairy hairy little lamb.” It is hilarious!
He loves to say “How ya doing?” to everyone. He answers, “I’m good.” whenever anyone asks him how he is.
He tells people, “I’m two. I’m about to turn three.”
He knows his birthday, “September 19!”
He knows the city he lives in Greenwood, and that GiGi and Granddaddy
live in Charlotte.
He speaks and sings very well.
He still loves books.
Right now, his favorites are “Good Night, Good Night, Construction
Site,” “I wish that I had Duck Feet,” and still “The Polar Express.”
Here are a few pics from the day he turned 3!
We took cupcakes to his class at school. Our weird son only licked a tiny bit of icing and was done. He did help make them the night before though and was very excited about them!
