Unexpected Visitors!

Earlier this week, while Little Man was supposed to be taking a nap, the doorbell rang.  I saw that it was some of the neighborhood kids.  My next door neighbor, a 5th grade boy, was selling wrapping paper, and he was accompanied by one of my students from last year and his younger brother.  They were just along to help out.  I came out on the front porch to look through the catalog and brought along the baby monitor. They all looked at Little Man jumping in his crib and talking to himself.  I realized they really knocked on the door to see my son...so since he wasn't sleeping anyway, I invited them in to play!

Little Man loved the company right from the start.  The boys really enjoyed holding my chunky monkey, and he enjoyed growling at them and watching them play with his toys.

They came back later because one of the other boys remembered that he was selling Spirit Cups for his soccer team.

Forty-two dollars and an hour later, I had to pull the Wii remotes out of their hands, gather up my son, and tell them I had to meet the mister for dinner.  It was a fun day to have some company.  Little Man definitely likes to play with the older kids!

Hope you have a great Labor Day weekend!
