Thankful Thursday: New Year's Recap!

Before I get into the post, I just want to apologize for not leaving comments yesterday.  Blogger and my computer have been acting up on me.  Please know I have been reading and trying to comment, but it just doesn't always work out!

Today I am so thankful for my grandparents!  I was fortunate enough to know four of my great-grandparents, and all of my grandparents.  My last great-grandmother passed away my first year out of college, and my paternal grandparents both passed away in the last 3 years.  I loved them all so much.  My maternal grandparents are still here and only live an hour away, so we get to visit them a lot!

On New Year's Day, Little Man and I went to Spartanburg to meet most of my family at our grandparents' house.  We had lots of fun, and it was a great way to start off the new year.  I held true to my resolutions and ate small portions and didn't drink the caffeinated sweet tea!  It was hard!  I also caught myself mid-sentence about to say something negative about someone and changed my wording real quick :)

So my grandfather (Ray-Ray) wanted to try to give Little Man's 2 year old cousin some eggnog, but she wouldn't drink it.  Little Man couldn't get enough! (no alcohol of course!)

Yum!

Where's my eggnog??

Cousin W on the table.  Don't know where she learned that!

We ventured down to the picture wall in the basement.  This is my mom in high school :)

Happy Thursday Y'all!

Beautiful picture of your mom.

It's nice your grandparents live close by and you all got to spend with them on New Year's Day.

Love the image of the men sleeping. That's such a "man thing."

Have a great Thursday!

How fun is that that W loves eggnog! I haven't had it ever and I'm 31! I just might be missing something!

That second pic is a stitch! So cute!

I am so sorry for your losses, yet so very happy that you were able to meet so many of your grand and great grandparents. I think that it is truly amazing. I too was able to meet three great grandparents and all of my grandparents. Sadly I only have one Grandmother left, yet I am truly blessed to have memories of each of them remain with me.
The picture of you mom is so precious. Im sure you treasure it.

p.s.
Little Man~ Eggnog is the greatest isnt it?
