Thankful Thursday: The Mister

Today, I am so thankful for my husband (the mister!)

We have been couped up together in the past few days, and it has been wonderful!

On Monday we cleaned the house.  If you are a faithful reader, you know I am not a huge fan of cleaning, but we started a weekly cleaning chart.  Among some of the mister's chores (which we agreed on) are emptying and taking out all the trash/recycling, cleaning Little Man's bathroom, and vaccuuming the whole house!  Yes, I know I am so fortunate to have a man willing to split the chores equally!

He is also very willing (sometime "over"willing to me) to have a conversation almost immediately when we have any type of argument or spat.  If he realizes he is in the wrong, he offers a genuine apology.  I'm a little more stubborn and don't always immediately see when I'm in the wrong.  When we were about to get married, the pastor said, "Learn this phrase, and your marriage will last: 'You're right. I'm wrong. I'm sorry, and it will never happen again.'"  Great advice :)

He also takes great care of Little Man!  We usually take turns getting him up in the morning, which consists of a diaper change, rubbing Vanicream (to prevent eczema) from head to toe, and getting him dressed.  We also take turns putting him to bed, which means giving him a bath, rubbing Vanicream again, putting on pajamas, reading books, and singing songs.  That is probably my favorite time of the day.  The mister helps change diapers and washes the sippy cups.  He is truly wonderful!

I am so thankful to have him for a husband.  I am truly blessed!

Happy Thursday Y'all! What are you thankful for today?

How wonderful you have found such a special person and a true partner. Finding that "right person" is truly wonderful.

I need to take that advice from your pastor. Unfortunately, I am never wrong. Did I just say that?? Going to work on it!

I am so happy you found something for your "little man" in regards to his eczema. Vanicream is the best. I use the sunscreen daily. :)

Your a very blessed girlie! I am very thankful for my MR to. Yours sounds alot like mine. A selfless family man. We are very lucky b/c alot of people don't really have relationships with their spouses like this. God has truly blessed you both!!

Honey, I need to ck out the eczema cream b/c I have had it since the 6th grade! Mini- Me has it also. We have tried everything under the sun. The shots seem to work best....blahhhh

Hope your day is awesome!
Love, D

You deserve nothing more than a wonderful man like the Mister. Those pictures of you two are simply adorable. You both look so very happy together. I hope that if I have children some day my husband will be an active part in my child's life just like that.

p.s Did little man have eczema previously? I get it all of the time. Recently someone told me about MUSTELA, you can find it at BABIES R' US. It is the most amazing product line for babies and as you can see adults can use it too. Nothing has controlled my eczema like this.
If you ever need to try something different, this is the stuff! :)
